Kolkata, Aug 3 (IANS) A 92-year-old man died after falling from a four-storey building in the city on Friday.
"Nagen Chandra Bhawal, 92, of Swapnaneer Apartment in Dakshin Behala Road, Anandanagar somehow fell down from the top floor on Friday morning. He was declared brought dead at a nearby state-run hospital," a police officer said.
In another incident, Haru Das, 68, was found hanging from an iron structure with a cloth on Friday afternoon in Bidhan Sarani Road. No suicide note has been recovered.
A middle-aged man also fell to his death from a highrise on Kolkata's M.G. Road.
"Promod Jalan, 54, a resident of Diamond City South Apartment fell from the balcony of the eighth floor on Friday morning. No suicide note has been recovered," the officer said.
A 57-year-old ailing woman Maya Dutta was found hanging from the ceiling inside her bedroom in Kolkata's Bijoygarh area on Thursday evening.
The neighbours said that the woman had trouble walking and was mostly bedridden.
