Rape-accused UP MLA being brought to Delhi.

Lucknow, Aug 4 (IANS): The CBI is bringing rape-accused Uttar Pradesh MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar to Delhi where he is to be produced in Tis Hazari court on Monday.

A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team had reached the Sitapur jail to take Sengar, who has been expelled from the BJP, to Delhi by road.

Taking strong note of the matter in the wake of the road accident in which the rape survivor and her lawyer were seriously injured and two of her aunts killed, the Supreme Court last week ordered transfer of all cases relating to the Unnao rape to Delhi.

The CBI, which had questioned Sengar in the rape case on Saturday, said on Sunday that it searched at least 17 places in four districts in Uttar Pradesh, including his residences.

A senior agency official in Delhi told IANS that searches were conducted in Lucknow, Unnao, Banda and Fatehpur, at some locations in the premises of the accused and others. The residential premises of Sengar in Lucknow's upscale Gomti Nagar was searched.

According to CBI sources in Lucknow, the agency also collected details of the people the MLA has been meeting in the prison.

Unlike 2010 nirbhaya case, now a days there is no much hue and cry over the sexual harrasements happening in the country. It leaves us to think that, somewhere we started to normalise this issues.Talking about this case or about a 3 year child is being kidnapped, raped and beheaded in jarkhand last week, are not less terrific than the nirbhaya case.Hope apex court would serve Justice as soon possible.

I want this see this scoundrel rotting in jail for the rest of his life. For God's sake, the CBI should do a fair and good job to retain at least a part of its fading image. The government should not interfere in its working and allow the CBI to complete its job. I am appalled at the lukewarm response this case in getting from the people at large. How is this different from Nirbhaya's case? Today it is this girl, tomorrow it could be any one of us. This girl deserves all help from us and my prayers are with her for a speedy recovery. I salute her for the bravery she has shown in fighting this ruffian.
