Panaji, Aug 5 (IANS): In three to four months, when things normalise in Jammu and Kashmir, people from Goa will be able to buy plots of land and set up businesses there, state Garbage Management Minister Michael Lobo said on Monday.
Lobo, who is also a hotelier, said the historic decision taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah is also in the interest of the minority communities and would encourage tourism.
"It was a part of India, it is a part of India and it will always remain a part of India. So people of India need not think that they cannot go and do business over there," Lobo said.
"It will take three four months for everything to come back to place, but people from here will go to Jammu and kashmir and start business or even buy small plots to do business or anything like that," the BJP cabinet minister said.
"With this historical decision, PM and Amit Shah will take everybody along. No minority community should think that this is not in their interest. This is in their interest. Terrorism will also stop," Lobo said.
