Rome, Jun 14: It is often said that death comes as a stranger - no one knows when it will strike, but what is certain is that it cannot be avoided.
An incident reported after the Air France crash which killed all 228 passengers has really shown 'fortunate' people how soon they can become unfortunate.
It was almost like second life for Johanna Ganthaler, an Italian woman who arrived late for the Air France plane flight that crashed in the Atlantic. But flight or no flight her fate was sealed - she died in a car accident a week later, it has been reported.
Johanna Ganthaler, a pensioner from Bolzano-Bozen province, had been on holiday in Brazil with her husband Kurt and missed Air France Flight 447 after turning up late at Rio de Janeiro airport on May 31.
All 228 people aboard lost their lives after the plane crashed into the Atlantic four hours into its flight to Paris.
It said that Ganthaler died when their car veered across a road in Kufstein, Austria, and swerved into an oncoming truck. Her husband was seriously injured.
