Woman who Missed Air Crash Killed in Car Accident

Agencies

Rome, Jun 14: It is often said that death comes as a stranger - no one knows when it will strike, but what is certain is that it cannot be avoided.

An incident reported after the Air France crash which killed all 228 passengers has really shown 'fortunate' people how soon they can become unfortunate.

It was almost like second life for Johanna Ganthaler, an Italian woman who arrived late for the Air France plane flight that crashed in the Atlantic. But flight or no flight her fate was sealed - she died in a car accident a week later, it has been reported.

Johanna Ganthaler, a pensioner from Bolzano-Bozen province, had been on holiday in Brazil with her husband Kurt and missed Air France Flight 447 after turning up late at Rio de Janeiro airport on May 31.

All 228 people aboard lost their lives after the plane crashed into the Atlantic four hours into its flight to Paris.

It said that Ganthaler died when their car veered across a road in Kufstein, Austria, and swerved into an oncoming truck. Her husband was seriously injured.

Yes it is very much proved again and again that you cant win over death. It comes to the person who runs away from it or to a man simply sitting with no worries at all. It is all in "Al mighty hands" Let us give him thanks and enjoy the life and not worry about death.Yes, God gives warnings in many forms so that we are ready for it..

A.S.Mathew,USA story is very interesting. He had very close encounter with death many times. It reminds me of one major bus accident while I was travelling, took place 20 years back near SANTEKATTE-UPPOOR bridge.I had a minor surgery in KMC Manipal and admitted for 3 days. After getting discharged I was returning to Brahmavar with my Uncle in crowded bus.

Driver was driving as if he had to reach destination in 5 minutes!! Lost control near the Bridge ..hit mile stones, rolled down..tyres facing sky !! 3 people were killed and more than 50 injured. I was admitted to KMC again ..same ward..same bed..same nurses !!!

It is a very sad news to read, also confirms the reality of God''s time. Personally, I can tell it. When I was 21 days old, I was almost dead. When I was 10 years old, due to yellow jaundice, I was very close to call. My father thought of arranging the funeral for me. After two months, I did fall down from a tree, might have killed instantly, but it was miracle that I could survive.

While flying from India to the U.S. in 1974, one engine of 747 Boeing caught fire but was landed safely in Frankfurt. In November 1972, one police car hit my car, that accident might have put me into the wheel chair for the rest of my life or death there also, I was spared without breaking a bone. Human life is so fragile, handle with care. Above all trust in divine protection.

This reminds me the fate of one of my friends Zaheer. Zaheer had met with a major car accident in Udupi Mangalore highway and he was miraculously survived that accident. HE was hospitalised for more than 3 months. Upon his discharge from hospital, following week he suffered from jaundice which was fatal. The time & way of death is destined when you are born. May god bless the soul of my friend Zaheer & Johanna Ganthaler. R.I.P

This article provides food - for thought. human life is so fragile...it hangs by a sword at times....we ought to enjoy life responsibly ,and be prepared for our journey into the next life.... it is similar to a couple of parables in the gospels, in the bible. we have to stay prepared and upright at all times...
