Mangaluru: NSS inaugurated at Dr Nitte Shanker Adyantaya PU College

Mangaluru, Aug 6: “When you indulge in National Service Scheme social work organization, it changes your mind and society,” said Sacred Heart College associate professor Dr Joseph N M.

He addressed a gathering after inaugurating the NSS unit at Nitte, Dr Shanker Adyantaya Memorial PU College, Nantoor.

“NSS is not the work of mud and pickaxe. Those who involve in it, experience the love of family. The student changes and respects the people in society. Practical experience is more valuable than that found in books. Students who join NSS become enthusiastic,” said Ramakrishna College Kannada professor Natesh Alva after inaugurating the NSS office.



“The personality of a student develops when he comes out of daily routine and joins everybody in selfless service. NSS is a suitable forum for this,” said college principal, Dr Navin Shetty K who presided over the programme.

NSS student representatives Kartik, Shreyus, Shwetha and Dhanashree took oath.

Ramakrishna PU College sports officer, Raj Kishore was present. Vice principal Annapurna Naik, NSS officer Dr Damodar B introduced the guests. Sandhya welcomed the gathering. Divya compered the programme. Vidyadhar Thakur rendered the vote of thanks. Students presented a cultural programme.
