Mamata condoles Sushma Swaraj's demise


Kolkata, Aug 7 (IANS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has condoled the sudden demise of former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.

The former Union Minister died on Tuesday at the age of 67.

"Deeply saddened, shocked at the sudden passing away of Sushma Swaraj Ji. I knew her since the 1990s. Even though our ideologies differed, we shared many cordial times in Parliament," Banerjee tweeted on Tuesday.

She further appreciated the senior BJP leader, saying: "An outstanding politician, leader, good human being. Will miss her. Condolences to her family/admirers."
