Patna, Aug 7: Former health minister of Bihar, Tej Pratap Yadav’s wife filed a statement against him in court, following their divorce case. Aishwarya Rai, Yadav’s wife accused him of being a marijuana addict and harassing her. She filed a statement under Section 26, seeking protection from the family court, under Protection of Women against Domestic Violence Act, 2005.

Aishwarya claimed that she learnt of Tej's addiction immediately after getting married to him. Tej would also claim to be avatar of Lord Shiva under the influence of marijuana.

"Tej used to dress up like Lord Krishna and Radha. Soon after my wedding, I discovered that he used to dress up like god and goddesses. Not just this, once after consuming drugs, Tej wore a `Ghagra` and `Choli` and dressed up like goddess Radha. He also wore makeup and a hair wig," Aishwarya stated in the complaint.

Tej Pratap Yadav is the eldest son of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, who married Aishwarya in May, 2018. Aishwarya also stated that she informed her in-laws about their son’s behavior, but they did not pay any heed to her. All they did was just console her emotionally.

According to Aishwarya, when she asked her husband to control his addiction, Tej responded saying, "Ganja toh bhole baba ka prasad hai, usko kaise mana Karen?” (Marijuana is Lord Shiva`s offering; how can I not accept it?). One other comment by Tej was, “Krishna hi Radha hai, Radha hi Krishna hai” (Krishna is Radha and Radha is Krishna).

Further, she stated that Tej would ridicule over her educational qualifications and demean her by saying that she was destined only to cook food and create a family. Five months after their marriage, Tej filed a divorce petition in a Patna court on November 2018.
