Qatar, Jun 15: Mangalore Cricket Club (MCC), Qatar, in its endeavour to serve the community in Qatar and to provide an avenue to improve one's talents has announced a workshop on Konkani Modern Theatre Training on Friday June 19, 2009 from 3.30 pm to 9.30 pm at the Prestige Restaurant Hall (Near Qatar Airways Building, Airport Road). Lancy Pinto Nayak, winner of numerous awards and prizes in Konkani plays, who also has conducted similar seminars in other Gulf countries, will be flown in from Kuwait to conduct this workshop.
Various aspects of a drama theatre like the memorization, eye contact, facial expression, voice modulation, pitch maintenance, clarity of voice, drama ethics, and stage possession will be discussed during the workshop. Participants will be trained to be an actor and also learn all qualities an actor needs to have to be a better actor.
Workshop will be free of charge for the members while the non-members will be charged a nominal fee of QR 50/-. Snacks and dinner will be provided during the workshop.
Organizers have especially invited teenagers and adults to come forward to make used of this rare opportunity.
