TN CM drops IT Minister Manikandan


Chennai, Aug 8 (IANS) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K. Palaniswami on Wednesday dropped Minister for Information Technology M. Manikandan from the Council of Ministers.

In a statement issued here, Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit's office said the Governor has accepted the recommendation of Palaniswami to drop Manikandan from the Council of Ministers.

"Based on the recommendation of the Chief Minister, the portfolio of Information Technology has been re-allocated to Thiru R.B. Udhayakumar, Minister for Revenue and Disaster Management, who shall be re-designated as Minister for Revenue & Disaster Management and Information Technology," the statement said.
