Mangaluru: Session on ‘Handling Exam Stress’ held at Expert PU College

Mangaluru, Aug 9: A highly useful and motivational session on ‘Handling Exam Stress’ was conducted by the noted Psychiatrist Dr Supriya Hegde Aroor for the II PUC students of Expert Pre University College Valachil, Mangaluru, as part of the on- going ‘EDU-PATH Lecture Series 2019’ at the Cultural Centre of the campus.

Addressing the students, Dr Supriya Hegde emphasized that stress is present in every individual’s life and a positive stress known as ‘Eustress’ is essential for everyone to achieve and progress in life. But the distress resulting out of anxiety, pressure of achieving academic goal, competition etc. needs to be addressed to and erased out. She explained the causes of stress and techniques to overcome it.



Farheen Naz, counsellor presented some relaxation techniques during the session which help students tide over stress and anxiety.

Later, the students interacted with the guest speaker with numerous queries related to stress and its management.

Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, principal honoured Dr Supriya Hegde and Farheen Naz with mementoes. Aakanksha Kote of II PUC ‘G2’ batch accorded a formal welcome to the dignitaries, anchored the programme and rendered the vote of thanks.
