India can take care of itself post 370: Afghan leader

Kabul/New Delhi, Aug 9 (IANS): Afghan Vice Presidential candidate and former intelligence chief Amrullah Saleh on Friday said India was fully capable of taking care of itself after the change in Kashmir's status, but Pakistan can only foment terrorism.

Saleh, who was injured in a terror attack on his party office last month, tweeted: "India can take care of its entirety by itself post the change of Kashmir status. What Pak can do, as always, is to provide more killing devices to brainwashed madrassa terrorists and ask them to kill Afghan civilians just because they are not anti-India. It is a likely scenario."

His remark came after India revoked Jammu and Kashmir's special status prompting Pakistan to expel the country's envoy in Islamabad, cut off all cultural exchanges and trade ties, and resort to war-mongering against its eastern neighbour.

Saleh received shrapnel injuries in the powerful blast that hit his Green Trend party office in Kabul on July 28. He was evacuated and moved to a safe location.

India has strongly condemned the attack.
