Mangalorean Satish Bangera Bags ‘Jewel of India’ Award

Mangalorean Satish N Bangera bagged the ‘Jewel of India Award–2009’ in recognition of his social service in the metro. The award has been instituted by Om Shakti Peeta and Sri Mahadevastan Akhil Bharath Kala Sahitya Sanskruti Academy. 

The award was presented to Bangera in a ceremony held at Wardha, near here, recently.
 


Bhajan Samrat Om Prkash Agarwal was the chief guest on the occasion.
 
Umerkedi Chandavada renowned surgeon Dr Manohar Chinnavar, Madhya Pradesh veteran litterateur Devendra Kumar Mishra and Amaravati prison officer Kamalakar Ghogande were the guests of honour who congratulated Bangera and felicitated him.
