Karkala, Aug 9: Nitte (deemed to be university) has been awarded a Diamond rating by QS I-GAUGE Indian College and University Ratings.

QS I-GAUGE rating is administered by a joint venture of QS Quacquarelli Symonds Ltd of the United Kingdom and India’s ERA Foundation.

QS Quacquarelli Symonds Ltd is a reputed body that organises one of the most influential international university ranking systems.

QS I-GAUGE rating uses an evidence driven, transparent and holistic methodology of international standards to assess institutions in six primary criteria and two secondary criteria.

The Diamond rating recognizes Nitte University’s achievements in areas like teaching-learning, faculty quality, facilities, student diversity, student outcomes, research, entrepreneurship and social responsibility.

On August 5, at Lalit Ashok, Bengaluru, the award was presented by Ben Sowter, senior vice president, QS Intelligence Unit to Prof Dr Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, vice chancellor Nitte (deemed to be university).
