Air India launches new scheme 'Discover India'

New Delhi, Aug 10: Air India launched a new scheme for passengers who interested to fly places of tourist attraction and places of religious importance. The scheme titled 'Discover India' will be valid up to March 31, 2020.

A release by Air India, it stated, "Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Foreign nationals will be able to buy five domestic Air India domestic economy class tickets for Rs 40,000, valid for travel within 15 days of the first leg of travel. Ten domestic economy class tickets are also on offer for Rs 75,000 with a validity period of 30 days both on firm basis. Passengers will be allowed to travel to any destination of their choice within India and are permitted to reroute their journey as per their requirement."

Apart from the basic benefits mentioned, the scheme has other benefits namely, option of re-booking before four hours prior to scheduled departure. In the event an individual crosses the said duration, penalty may be levied. Another benefit includes an option for the passenger to change the date of journey without paying any extra charge.

The release also mentioned that passengers will get benefits such as 25 kg free baggage allowance for all adults and 10 kg free baggage allowance for all kids.

    People from middle eastern countries will opt to go kashmir as it's sacred place as hair of prophet muhammad (p.b.u.h) kept in hazartbal's shrine. Once in a year during prophet's bday bring out and shown to people. It's very good moment as many people present to witness the occassion.

    Good scheme...only for NRI's. Our Forex reserve again touch new high. Many in there itinerary keep kashmir as one of destination. After all in next few years kashmir will become holiest place of christians of christians jesus's grave as well as muslims hazaratbal.
