Mumbai, Aug 10: Model Co-operative Bank Ltd continues to receive accolades for their overall best performance from The Brihan Mumbai Nagari Sahakari Banks Association Ltd, here, for the fifth time.
The Brihan Mumbai Nagari Sahakari Banks Association Ltd, Mumbai (an association of urban cooperative banks) at their annual award function held on Friday August 9, awarded Model Cooperative Bank Ltd second prize for the overall best performance of UCBs for the financial year 2018 – 19 in the category of deposits between Rs 501 to Rs 2000 crore among cooperative banks.
The function was held at Vows Banquet, Prabhadevi, Mumbai and was attended by senior management and directors from cooperative banks. This award is another milestone for Model Cooperative Bank.
The association chairman, Kashinath More presented the award to Model Cooperative Bank Ltd chairman Albert W D’Souza, director Paul Nazareth, general manager and CEO William L D’Souza and deputy general manager Zenon D’Cruz, vice chairman of the association Vitthal Chivilkar and chief executive officer Sonali Kadam were also present.
The bank has its roots in the Mangalorean Catholic Cooperative Credit Society Ltd, which was registered on April 26, 1916. The bank has completed 103 years of its foundation and is proud to receive this award in recognition of its excellent services. The bank is constantly riding the path of progress and is on the threshold to attain Schedule Status.
The chairman, Albert W D’Souza and Board of Directors have extended their gratitude to all the shareholders, customers and well wishers.
