BJP booth president killed in UP's Hamirpur


Hamirpur, Aug 11 (IANS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) booth president Rakesh Singh was allegedly murdered in Pachkhura village in Uttar Pradesh's Hamirpur, police said on Sunday.

According to reports, Singh used to live with his sister at the latter's house. The other members of the family had gone out of town and he was alone at home when the incident took place on Saturday.

According to police, some unidentified persons entered the house and used a sharp weapon to kill him.

Senior police officials and BJP members have reached the spot.
