Modi-Shah are like Krishna, Arjuna: Rajinikanth

Chennai, Aug 11 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are like Lord Krishna and Arjuna, said actor Rajinikanth here on Sunday.

Congratulating Shah on his 'Mission Kashmir' (revocation of Article 370 which conferred special status on Jammu and Kashmir), Rajinikanth termed it as a 'fantastic' move.

The actor said: "We don't know who is Krishna and who is Arjuna. It is only they know (Modi and Shah)."

Hindu God Krishna is incarnation of Lord Vishnu and Arjuna his disciple in the epic Mahabharat.

Rajinikanth was speaking at a function organised to release the book titled "Listening, Learning and Leading" which chronicles two years in office of Vice President M.Venkaiah Naidu.

He praised Naidu as a complete spiritual person who is interested in the welfare of people.

The function is being hosted by Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar. Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit, Chief Minister K. Palaniswami, and Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam were also present on the occasion.

    CHENNAI: Rajinikanth, who is a proponent of 'spiritual politics', surprised the media by agreeing to a reporter who asked a leading question on whether the BJP is "dangerous."
    Surrounded by reporters at the Chennai airport on Monday, Rajini was asked whether the BJP was so dangerous that several opposition parties have ganged up against it. "If they have got together thinking it (the BJP) is so, then it should be so," he replied.(source: Times of India Nov. 3 , 2018)

    The intention behind today's statement perhaps he is looking either for tax free or to get easy access for releasing his upcoming movie DARBAR believed to made of 300 crores schedule to release on Jan. 2020. His last last movie with Akshay Kumar get screened in China after so many efforts.
