Amit Shah carries out aerial survey in Karnataka, Maharashtra

New Delhi, Aug 11 (IANS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday carried out an aerial survey of flood-affected areas in Karnataka and Maharashtra, and reviewed the relief operation being conducted to deal with the natural disaster.

"Did an aerial survey of the flood affected areas of Belagavi (Karnataka) and Kolhapur and Sangli (Maharashtra). Also held a meeting with senior officials to review the relief operations," Shah said in a tweet.

The Central and both state governments are totally committed to helping our people in distress, he said.

The incessant rains have wrecked havoc in at least nine states, including Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, killing over 100 people and displacing lakhs of others.

Why he is doing PM / CM job????... Even president of India hasn't gone out to do the aerial survey. Just making best use of the opportunity to be in the news. He should be in Kashmir where there is lot of unrest and at places where there is mob lynching. He is not needed here. May be contemplating to be next PM of India.
