To have a festive feelings, variety of games like Ring Master by Ravi Karkera, Surprise Prize announcements, guessing the weight in grams and number of chick piece game and not to miss the Mangalorean traditional game, ‘Taraida Katta” (breaking the Cocunut) added beauty to the festival which was arranged by Narendra & Gopal Shetty.

The event was witnessed  the most prestigious awards such as best cook, best decorated stall and the most hygienic stall  which was conducted by using ballot paper in a very democratic manner. The winner of Bairuchi 2009  best cook was awarded to previous year’s Vanas 2008 winner – ”Tammana Team”. First runners up awarded to “Mumbai Chat House” and followed second runners up to “Mangalore to China”. The best decorated stall award was given to “Mangalore to China” Stall and the most hygienic Stall awarded bagged by “Namma Kudla”.

Festival reports from stall owners were good although perhaps the hot weather had put off some visitor from buying as much as they wish to eat and carry away for the week to store.

The MASA members and volunteers demonstrated best of their ability to ensure all things in order for the joyful social event.

Everyone applauded the good Samaritans, Madhav Amin, Dayanand Shriyan, Ravi Karkera and Ivan Pinto for their generous sponsorship towards Bairuchi 2009.

The thought of the day: The stall owners who put their heart and soul for the beautification of their respective stalls even in this hot weather. Hats off to all Stall owners without their participation the event would have not been a successful one. The credit goes to the ladies for being part of grand success event called Bairuchi 2009. The festival was concluded by vote of thanks by Joint Secretary Victor Sequeira.

Thanks Mr. Harris Madani for your valuable comments. Good comments from Gentlemen like you gives us more strength to organize such events. As an active committee member of MASA I am proud of our association and it''s members hard work. New members are joining day by day. It''s not fun out there at over 48 degrees.

All the programmes organized by MASA are thru donations received from our members, we don''t charge entry fees for such events. Also MASA helped Mangloreans with medical help and other charity work both here in Saudi and back home during the last 2 years of its existence.

Daijiworld has played a vital role in the success of our MASA. The event “Bai Ruchi” was just as much fun as it look’s in these pictures. We are intrigued by the popularity of our organization, and the credit undoubtedly goes to our participants, committee members and volunteers. The huge success of “Bai Ruchi “ is mainly due to the efforts of two men - Mr. Ravi Karkera and Mr. Santosh Shetty who have thoroughly planned and organized this event .We are thrilled to represent MASA on a global stage, and stay connected with Mangloreans. Hey Harris Madani of BAJPE, MANGALORE, thanx for your very funny comment. Probably you are not aware of the weather conditions in this part of the world. Regarding the prize (not price), the fun and the lovely time we had with our friends was more than enough to boost our spirits in this hot weather. Actually, inspite of our blindness, we did manage to sell everything on our stall, that’s something to cheer about….dont you agree ? ? ? ? - Chakney Stall Owners -
