Karimnagar, Aug 13: Commissioner of Police, Karimnagar in Telangana, tweeted about road safety, through a video of an overcrowded auto carrying over 24 people. The video which has gone viral shows the driver of the auto being questioned and asked to deboard all the passengers.
The commissioner tweeted about the video under the caption, 'People should take care of their own safety. They shouldn't board in overcrowded passenger autos unmindful of their safety'.
The one minute long video has already received over 23,000 views. The auto driver belongs to Thimmapur in Telangana. When a local cop saw him driving an overcrowded auto, he brought the auto to a standstill and questioned the driver.

In a case of overcrowding that took place last week, 12 labourers were killed and six others suffered injury after a truck hit an overcrowded autorickshaw in Mahabubnagar district of Telangana.
With a view to bring down the road related accidents, Motor Vehicle Amendment Bill was passed in Rajya Sabha which enforces more stringent rules and places higher amount of penalties.
