New Delhi, Jun 19: Police identified two suspects in the alleged rape of a British national in Palampur, Himachal Pradesh on Friday and are likely to make
an arrest.
British national Emily Jiang Wilson was allegedly raped by two taxi drivers near a cafe in Palampur, Himachal Pradesh on Thursday.
The 18-year-old girl was teaching at the Lodex government school. According to sources, the girl had come from UK to teach the poor children in India under the exchange programme for 10 weeks.
According to reports, the girl told the police that she had gone shopping near the cafe, when she was offered a lift by two men in a taxi. Both men are said to be in their early twenties. The taxi drivers took her to a deserted place and then raped her.
Police sources said that the girl may have been spotted by the two drivers while she was shopping, after which they hatched a plan to lure her into the cab.
Meanwhile, doctors have conducted medical tests on the girl and the report has been handed over to the police.
