Delhi Police terms I-Day as R-Day, high court moved

New Delhi, Aug 13 (IANS) A petition was filed in Delhi High Court on Tuesday against the Delhi Police regarding mistake in its Independence Day advisory.

The south district Delhi Police has mentioned 'Republic Day' instead of Independence Day in the advisory and pamphlet.

The petitioner also alleged such errors showed that the notifications issued by the Delhi Police were neither read nor checked by senior officers.

The petition was mentioned before a Division Bench, comprising Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice C Harishankar. The court will hear the plea on Wednesday.
