Sonbhadra, Aug 14: A video of an ABP journalist being manhandled by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's secretary during her visit to Sonbhadra in Uttar Pradesh is making news. The video showing the altercation between Priyanka's secretary and an ABP journalist was uploaded by Mritunjay Kumar, on his twitter handle. Kumar is the media advisor to UP CM Yogi Adityanath.

The squabble between the two takes place right after the journalist asks the Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi to comment over abrogation of Article 370.

In the video, the individual identified as Sandeep can be heard hurling threats at the journalist. The Congress supporter also calls the journalist as an ally of BJP and accuses the journalist of taking money from BJP to create a stir. He also tries to overpower the cameraman by pulling the camera down to obstruct him from shooting the incident.

The journalist even tries to draw Priyanka’s attention to the scuffle, but she pays no heed. In the video Priyanka can be seen walking ahead with a group of women before the scuffle broke out.

The caption on the video by Kumar said, "Priyanka Gandhi ji, please stop the drama of wiping the tears of the poor people in Sonbhadra. Where are the people who talk about media's freedom when Priyanka Vadra's secretary is ill treating a journalist and she is not saying anything? However, the Uttar Pradesh government is committed toward the safety of journalists.”

Earlier in the day, Priyanka had reacted on the Jammu and Kashmir issue, calling the Centre's move as ‘unconstitutional’ and ‘illegal’.
