Patriotic songs mark I-Day celebrations at Attari-Wagah border

Attari (Punjab), Aug 15 (IANS): Thousands of people converged at the Attari-Wagah joint check post between India and Pakistan on Thursday to be part of the celebrations for India's 73rd Independence Day.

Singers and performers entertained the crowd with patriotic and other songs to mark the occasion.

The tallest tricolour in the country at the Attari border, 30 km from Amritsar, fluttered magnificently.

Officials of the Border Security Force (BSF), which controls the 553-km-long barbed wire fenced international border between India and Pakistan in Punjab, were present along with their family members.

There was no exchange of customary Indian sweets by the BSF with the Pakistan Rangers at the Attari-Wagah border on the occasion of the country's Independence Day owing to heightened tension between the two nations.

On the occasion of Pakistan's Independence Day on Wednesday too there was no exchange of sweets and greetings between BSF and Pakistan Rangers personnel.

While patriotic songs marked Independence day celebrations at Attari-Wagah border of India- Pakistan, in the North-East state of Nagaland blue color NAGA NATIONAL FLAG hoisted across Northeast India to mark NAGA independence day.

While Kashmir is under siege from last eight days after revoking Article 370, apart from Nagaland, this time large scale celebrations were held in Manipur, Assam too.

One nation, one flag is again doomed by NAGA in the Indian sovereign land of Nagaland. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh should be blamed for drafted by the Jagdamba Mall Naga accord which gives separate flag, currency and the separate reconginsation in United Nation.

    1. Where was the RSS-BJP nationalism, which gives separate powers to Nagaland signed by the government in Singapore?

    2. Why the PM Modi's BJP government and Home Minister Amit Shah hesitating to revoke Article 371(A) for Nagaland?

    3. Why the government lenient for Nagaland retaining the arms and talk to together and bullet policy in Kashmir?

    4. Why the Nagas who have killed scores of Indian soldiers offered by the government for all the top-ranking leaders of all Naga militant organisations will be honoured by giving them the equivalent ranks/spots as governors, ambassadors, officials in the Army and other security forces provided they have requisite academic qualifications, sound health and above all, a will to serve the nation as a dignified soldier/central government officers?

    5. Why BJP government agreed to create a Naga regiment shall be created to absorb the young surrenderers (sic).” Those who surrender would be paid an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh each besides the “general amnesty amount of Rs 5 lakh?

6 Why only Nagaland has given special economic package suggested in the “draft” comprises Rs 1 lakh crore meant “for industrialization and overall development of the existing Nagaland"?
