Karkala, Aug 16: ‘Class 2 Cabin’ an event which aimed at bridging the gap between college students and industry experts was organised recently at NMAM Institute of Technology by 'College Innovators' group along with massive support from the management of NMAMIT. The event was graced by industry leaders from IBM, Phillips, Siemens, Turner & Townsend, Credence Robotics, Keshava Productions, etc.
The event was formally inaugurated by Keerthan Prabhu, CEO and founder of 'College Innovators' along with the honorable dignitaries.
The students from different branches of Engineering and Diploma were addressed by the speakers. The first session was conducted by Meenakshi Patil, head of Emerging Technologies-IGNITE IBM, followed by Pradeep Salla, senior technical manager of Siemens, followed by Pallavi, principal scientist of Phillips Research India, followed by Ashish P Jain, director of Turner and Townsend.
The post-lunch sessions began with Bharath Aditya, co-founder of Credence Robotics, followed by Shashank Shetty, the regional coordinator of New Age Incubation Network and an assistant professor in the department of Computer science & Engineering at NMAMIT and the last session was taken up by Richa Khandelwal Bhat.
To make sessions more interactive, quizzes were held after every session and winners were awarded goodies. In addition to this, a Q & A session was also arranged to clarify doubts from students regarding academics with the speakers. Keerthan Prabhu then launched his latest book.
With a chance to interact with all key industry experts, the event ended on a high note. The entire team of 'College Innovators' thanked the management of NMAMIT, and especially principal Dr Niranjan Chiplunkar, who supported them to successfully conduct the event. Over 250 students of NMAMIT had gathered to attend a heart-throbbing event.
