Panaji, Aug 19: Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant on Sunday claimed that Narendra Modi-led government is scheduled to take many decisions after which BJP will continue ruling the country for the next 25 years.
Sawant addressed a workers’ convention on Sunday evening here, in presence of senior party leader and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
“BJP’s membership drive has been receiving tremendous response across the country. The people of this country have realized that Modi-led government is here to stay for another 25 years. In fact, the people from Jammu and Kashmir to Kanyakumari have decided that this government will stay for another 25 years,” he said.
“In the days to come, there are many decisions which are in the pipeline to be taken by the Union government and after that no one will be able to replace this dispensation led by Narendra Modi,” he added.
The Goa chief minister also claimed that Chouhan-led government would soon be in power in Madhya Pradesh.
“The people of Madhya Pradesh have been missing Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his government. Schemes like Ladli Lakshmi were introduced by him due to which he has been popularly known as ‘mamaji’ in his state,” Sawant said.
“I am sure and I pray to God that when he goes back to Madhya Pradesh from here, once again his government will be formed in the state,” he commented.
Sawant said that the new chief for Goa would be in place in December after party holds its elections for various booths, mandal, both districts and state level committee.
“The election for new party chief for Goa would be done in December this year after holding elections from booth to state level. Each party worker should ensure that more members are enrolled so that when we go for elections, our voting share will automatically increase,” he added.
