Nagpur, Aug 19: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari cautioned government officials who fail to solve public queries to be ready for dire consequences. While addressing a gathering at Laghu Udyog in Nagpur, Gadkari stated that if there is no resolution for public issues, then he would tell people to 'dhulai karo' (beat them).
Gadkari also stated that government officials exist to serve the people of the nation and in the event they fail to perform their duties, he will be answerable to them.
“Today I held a meeting at RTO office here, director and transport commissioner were also present. I told them, you solve the problem within eight days, otherwise I will tell people to take law into their own hands and thrash the officials (dhulai karo). My teachers have taught me - throw out the system which does not give justice,” Gadkari said.

In Modi 2.0, Gadkari handles areas of road transport, micro, small and medium enterprises. He is admired for his efficient work and considered to be one of the most effective leaders in Modi government.
Further, he provided assurance to all the entrepreneurs present at the convention, to grow without the fear of government harassment.
