Bhopal, Aug 20: On Monday, Pragya Singh Thakur, BJP MP from Bhopal supported the remarks made by former Madhya Pradesh chief minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, against Jawaharlal Nehru. Pragya called Nehru a 'criminal' for pulling back Indian forces who were trying to push back Pakistan tribals out of Kashmir.
On Sunday, Chouhan accused Nehru of being the reason for Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Chouhan stated that the region would have been long under India if not for Nehru's decisions.
The statement made by Chouhan was backed by Pragya who about Nehru said, "Whoever will hurt our motherland, anyone who tries to break our India, surely is a criminal."

Pragya stated that the abrogation of 370 was only accepted by patriots and called the ones who criticized it as anti-national.
In response to her statement, MP chief minister, Kamal Nath's media coordinator, Narendra Saluja said, “One who has spent days in jail in the Malegaon blast and Sunil Joshi murder cases, one who is out on bail, one who has described Nathuram Godse as patriot and made fun of the martyrdom of Hemant Karkare, is calling Nehru, who went to jail for freedom, a criminal. Who is a criminal?"
