Visakhapatnam, Aug 20: On Monday, Vishaka Express which runs between Bhubaneshwar and Secunderabad had its engine detached from its coaches in Andhra Pradesh.

The engine halted after travelling for 10 km. Meanwhile, the coaches with passengers came to a halt soon after the engine detached. After the authorities learned about the incident, technicians were deployed to connect the engine and the coaches.

The engine got separated at Narsipatnam and Tuni railway stations when the link rods between the engine and the coaches broke.

As per sources, passengers were safe. An investigation into the matter is underway by the rail authorities.
