Injury marks on Sunanda's body, prosecutor claims Tharoor's involvement

Daijiworld Media Network - New Delhi (SR)

New Delhi, Aug 20: While arguing a case regarding the death of Sunanda Pushkar, the public prosecutor has said, though the cause of death was poisoning as per post-mortem, there were 12 hours to at least four days old injury marks on the body that gives a clear evidence that the victim may have been beaten up repeatedly.

The case was standing out as this is the first time the court was hearing a case on the framing of charges against Shashi Tharoor in the death of Pushkar.

The prosecutor also added that  Shashi Tharoor and Sunanda Pushkar were married for 3 years and 4 months and this was the third marriage of both parties.

While unnatural death within 7 years of marriage is suspicious, Shashi Tharoor has been charged under Sections 498-A (husband or his relative subjecting a woman to cruelty) and 306 (abetment of suicide) of the IPC, but has not been arrested in the case.

Looks like Tharoor will also be in soup very soon and might give Chidambaram company in Tihar. In Rajasthan, Kamal Nath has said he does not have anything to do with his nephew, who is involved in a multi million dollar fraud. He apparently ran away from ED headquarters last month during his interrogation in the pretext of going to toilet.
