Mangaluru: Awareness session on ‘Traffic Rules and Road Safety’ held at Expert PU College

Mangaluru, Aug 21: To educate the students regarding road safety and traffic rules Expert PU College, Kodialbail oragainsed an awareness talk on August 19.

Rajaram, police sub-inspector, Barke police station, explained the incidents that happen in our surroundings and how to avoid them. He reiterated the words of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘Only the youth can build a nation’.

He further explained the effects of consuming drugs, attempting suicide, carelessness of the people regarding their belongings, cyber crimes which are occurring in our day to day life, etc. He also mentioned the importance of abiding the traffic rules to avoid accidents. He made clear to the students the four records such as registration, insurance, emission test and licence which are necessary while owning a vehicle. He also spoke about the safety of women and effects of using mobile at an early age which may divert them from their goals.



He further said that the Barke police station is all about providing security and help to the people at their door steps. He made it clear that one need not go to the police station for reporting an incident but to dial 100 and their service to the community would be prompt.

It was a highly interactive session during which the students showed high sense of awareness and also got an opportunity to learn many rules which are mandatory for driving.

Prof Ramachandra Bhat, principal of Expert PU College, Kodialbail, welcomed the gathering and Vidhi D Pakkala of I PUC, rendered the vote of thanks.

Police constables Anand Patil, Basavaraj and Pradeep, were present on the dais.
