Achuthanandan Admitted to Hospital

Thiruvananthapuram, Jun 24: Kerala Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan was Wednesday admitted to a private hospital here following complaints of high blood pressure.

A close aide of Achuthanandan, 85, told IANS that the chief minister had been feeling unwell since Tuesday evening and had complained of breathlessness and high blood pressure.

"Today morning (Wednesday) he was moved to the hospital and has been advised complete rest for the next two days. The cabinet meeting scheduled for today (Wednesday) has also been cancelled," said the aide.
