Mangaluru: Workshop on 'Efficiency of Languages in Media' held at SAC

Mangaluru, Aug 24: The department of Hindi and Hindi Sangha of St Aloysius College (Autonomous), here on August 23 organised a workshop on 'Efficiency of Languages in Media' at LF Rasquinha Hall, LCRI block.

Dr Dennis Fernandes, director of admin block was the guest of honour. RJ Ajay Pillay, Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM and VJ Hisrar Tallani, Hisrar Events and Celebrations were the resource persons. Dr Mukunda Prabhu, HOD of Hindi, presided over the programme. Sandhya U Sirsikar and Roicy Rekha Braggs, staff co-ordinators of Hindi Sangha were present on the dais.

Dr Mukunda Prabhu in his presidential remarks explained how Hindi is used in our day to day life. He said that the aim of the workshop is to bring people from all communities together to inspire and foster the future with ‘the efficiency of languages’.



RJ Ajay Pillay spoke about radio and its importance. He interacted with the students about radio and ways and means of telecasting programmes on air. He aroused their curisity on how audio media was more influential than visual media.

VJ Hisrar Tallani of Hisrar Events and Celebrations was the other resource person who enlightened the students with his artistic kind of interaction.
