Mumbai, Jun 27: The movie ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ will make its television premiere at 9.00 pm on Saturday June 27 on PIX channel.

The channel bagged the official television rights for the movie in India in an exclusive deal with Fox Star India. The movie has been directed by British filmmaker and producer Danny Boyle and is co-directed in India by Loveleen Tandon. 

The cast of the film includes stars likes Anil Kapoor, Irfan Khan, Saurabh Shukla, Dev Patel, and Frieda Pinto among others. Slumdog Millionaire is the winner of eight Oscars, seven BAFTA Awards and four Golden Globes.
 
PIX is the English movie channel from Multi Screen Media Private Limited and was launched by Hollywood superstar Will Smith in April 2006. The channel quickly outperformed existing competing channels and was number three within four months of the launch. The channel currently competes on a weekly basis for the top spot in the six major metros.
