Air ticket counters to reopen in Srinagar Monday evening

Srinagar, Aug 26 (IANS): Aiming at making it easier to book tickets from Srinagar, the Jammu and Kashmir administration announced that airlines ticketing counters would be functional from 8 p.m. on Monday.

The ticketing counter is being established at the Tourist Reception Centre (TRC).

"Airlines ticketing counter with 8 terminals is being established at Tourist Reception Center (TRC), Srinagar. It shall be functional from 8 p.m. today. This will make it easier to book tickets from Srinagar City," tweeted DIPR-J&K, the official Twitter handle of Jammu and Kashmir's Department of Information and Public Relations.

Booking air tickets from the city was disrupted due to restrictions in the region since the Centre abrogated Article 370 of the Indian Constitution which gave special status to the erstwhile state.
