PM Modi heads home after 'action-packed' 3-nation visit


Biarritz (France), Aug 27 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi headed for home after an "action-packed" three-nation visit to France, UAE and Bahrain.

"Au revoir France! Closing the curtains on an action-packed 3-nation visit to France, UAE & Bahrain comprising of bilateral & multilateral engagements, PM @narendramodi departs for Delhi. Deepened India's relations with friends, and projected our voice on the global stage," tweeted MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar.

Earlier, PM Modi led the dedicated session at the G7 Summit on Digital Transformation and highlighted India's efforts in using digital tech to empower the people.

"Powering the engine of innovation & development. PM @narendramodi led the dedicated session of #G7Biarritz summit on Digital Transformation. Highlighted India's efforts in putting digital technology to use to fight social inequalities through empowerment & inclusion," Kumar tweeted.

On the bilateral meeting between PM Modi and US President Donald Trump, the highlight of the day's diplomatic engagements, he posted: "Continuing the momentum of high-level interaction. Warm, forward looking and productive meeting between PM @narendramodi and US President @realDonaldTrump in Biarritz. Both leaders discussed strengthening our strategic partnership, with a focus on energy and trade."
