Udupi: Pre-camp orientation programme held at St Mary’s College Shirva

Udupi, Aug 27: Shirva St Marys College, Shirva made a unique effort in providing jobs to students along with quality education.

Kshamata Academy, Mangaluru has been providing free training for degree students in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. The career counseling and placement cell in St Mary’s college, Shirva on August 27 held a pre-camp orientation programme.

Chief guest Gurudath Bantwalkar, Kshamata Academy director said that human resource skill development training is necessary to obtain jobs in large organizations in the current competitive era.

Principal, professor Rajan V N who chaired the programme, commended the training provided by Kshamata Academy without discrimination of religion, caste and creed. He said that students should make use of the opportunity and be successful in their careers. Kshamata Academy organizer Sahana Kini selected the students for the programme.

“Youth is wealth of the nation. Young people are wasting time without proper goals and ambitions during changing ways of lives. They should obtain guidance and advice from teachers and work for the progress of the country,” said college career counseling and placement cell director, Professor Lieutenant K Pravin Kumar to the students. Degree student Hanumanta shared his experience of the last Kshamata camp.

Final year degree students, teaching and non teaching staff were present. Shruthi and group sang a prayer song. Unit co-director Tanuja N Suvarna rendered a vote of thanks. Student’s union leader Bronson Wilfred Monis welcomed the gathering. Secretary Suprita compered the progrmme.
