Mangaluru: St Aloysius Gonzaga School holds Bunny Movement investiture

Mangaluru, Aug 28: The Bunny Movement programme of the Kindergarten section of St Aloysius Gonzaga School was inaugurated on August 27.

The programme commenced with a prayer song followed by lighting of the lamp. Fr Melwyn Lobo, principal, presided over the function and Sandhya R Shenoy, flock leader - Scouts and Guides District Association, was the chief guest of the day and Jacintha D’Costa, vice-principal was present on the occasion.

While addressing the gathering the chief guest explained the objectives of Bunny Movement and urged the parents to encourage the same at home,by giving them activities that would connect them with nature, teach them cleanliness, discipline and respect for elders.

The chief guest also administered the oath to the Bunnies “I shall try to be a good boy/girl”. She also explained the motto of the Bunny Movement – 'Keep Smiling’.

The principal Fr Melwyn Lobo highlighted the motto of the Bunny Movement – Love for God, Love for nature, Creativity, Learning and playing together and wished that the activities they learn will definitely help them to grow in all aspects as wonderful persons.

Children performed the drill with bunny props to the rhythmic beat of the drums. Later they were honoured with Bunny Aprons. StuthiK P of KGII welcomed the gathering.

Significance of the Bunny Movement was given by Mehr Suzanne Noronha of KGII. Virat R. Rai from KGII delivered the vote of thanks.

The programme concluded with the national anthem.It was indeed a proud and exciting moment for the parents who witnessed the ceremony.
