DCW operating from parking lot after fire


New Delhi, Aug 28 (IANS): A day after a fire broke out at the office of the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW), the DCW on Wednesday shifted to the parking area of the complex to carry out work.

DCW Chairperson Swati Maliwal said a police complaint had been filed and an internal probe initiated.

"Work at office severally affected. Essential services like Helpdesk, 181, Rape Crisis Cell, Panchayats functional," Maliwal tweeted.

No casualties were reported in the Tuesday fire but important documents were destroyed.
