Mangaluru, Aug 29: St Agnes College department of Commerce organised a one day fest 'ComQuest' on August 28 at the A4, Avila block of the campus for the II and III BCom students.

The fest attended by 566 students was organised with the purpose of preparing and training the students to face future challenges and to provide a platform to showcase their talents.

Dr Sr Jeswina AC, principal of the college and chief guest for the programme, Anitha S, in charge HOD of Commerce, Sheryl P, dean of Commerce and Management, SAACSA coordinators Rodney Vaz and Delan Lobo, asst professors of Commerce, Rakshika, vice-president of Commerce were the dignitaries during the inaugural.

Juveria of III BCom welcomed the chief guest, the dignitaries and the gathering. The programme began with a prayer song by Jancy and team of III BCom to invoke the blessings of Lord Almighty. Shreya and group of II BCom performed a dance to add more colour and life to the programme.

Dr Sr Jeswina AC inaugurated the programme by lighting a lamp. In her addressal, she encouraged the students to utilize the opportunities provided and to work hard to add more colour to their lives.

Rakshika, the vice president, briefed about the various competitions for the day. Leandra Menezes of III BCom compered the programme and Michelle D’Souza of III BCom proposed the vote of thanks for the morning’s inaugural function.

The INTRA collegiate fest concluded with a valedictory ceremony. Sr M Carmel Rita AC, the administrator of the college, was the chief guest. In her addressal, she mentioned that motivation must come from within and encouraged the students to participate. Dalia D’Souza, Delan Lobo and Rodney Vaz the faculty of Commerce, announced the prize winners while Sr M Carmel Rita AC, gave away the prizes. Ainish D’Cunha compered the valedictory and Sheryl D’Souza of III BCom proposed the vote of thanks.
