Modi's leadership has given momentum to economy: Javadekar

New Delhi, Aug 29 (IANS): Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar on Thursday said policy paralysis never allows sustainable growth and Modi's leadership has given a momentum to the economy.

"Decisive leadership gives real support and real momentum to the economy. This has been provided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and even the world recognises that," he said addressing the SKOCH summit here.

Javadekar added that people might not understand economics, but they believe that India will be able to achieve its goal of $5 trillion economy by 2025.

Emphasising that leadership has a crucial role to play in shaping up country's economy, he said: "There will be challenges in economic conditions of the country, however, leaving aside the dogmas, the Modi government has the capability to take a strong leadership approach."

It was this government that took a revolutionary step to introduce the country's own taxation system in the form of Goods and Services Tax (GST). "This has brought in transparency, made the tax compliance better, reduced corruption and hence slashed the rates. GST is the shining example of cooperative federalism," he said.

The day will come when our country will be bankrupt, still BJP leaders will be glorifying Modi and may shift blame to Nehru for it. They will still have support of their lapdog anchors in some media and stupid bhakts..

They lie so blatantly and the bhakts follow them blindly. The GST was a UPA baby but was opposed by the BJP then and now they have imposed it in a totally messed up way. A thriving economy was destroyed by demonetization just so our PM could go on an ego trip. Hundreds of jobs are lost each passing day and yet he is making these tall claims...……..

Yes, lost many businessman by suicide and many more on the way. Only Politician left to take extreme steps.
Development doesn't mean Bills against minorities, 370 articles, Mandir/Masjid, Mob Lynchings and hate speeches.. too late when Bhakts realize all these.

People like Javadekar and Ravi Shankar Prasad come into the picture only when Modi needs to be saved. At all other times, they are not expected to do anything. It is only when Modi finds himself pushed into a corner, these people rise to the occasion and try to shield him.
