Udupi: Seminar on prevention of crimes, drugs at Moodlakatte College

Udupi, Aug 29: A daylong seminar for students on prevention of crimes and drugs was held at Moodlakatte Engineering College, Kundapur in association with police officials.

Kundapur sub division DySP Dinesh Kumar arrived as resource person. He held a conversation with the students and answered all their questions. He explained the duty of the police department, the part of people to prevent crimes, how law and order can be maintained, the responsibilities of students etc.

Another guest at the seminar, Kundapur police circle inspector Manjappa said that students should realize their responsibilities and suggested they refrain from becoming victims of vices.

“Students indulge in group fights these days and spoil their lives. Students should know the quantum of punishment for such crimes, their adverse effects in life and instead concentrate on studies,” he said.

College principal Dr Katayya G S was present. Professor Dhruva Achar welcomed the gathering and compered the programme.
