Mumbai, Aug 30: A woman in her twenties, looking for a break in Bollywood committed suicide by jumping off the terrace of her Oshiwara apartment in the city. The victim identified as Pearl Punjabi was mentally depressed after failing to land a role in the entertainment industry.
The security guard of the Oshiwara apartment stated that the incident took place late night around 12.15 - 12.30 pm, on August 30. The watchman Bipin Kumar Thakur approached the scene on hearing screams from Pearl's floor.
The police investigating the case claimed that the struggling actor attempted to kill herself twice before. The victim was described as someone who always bickered with her mother and suffered mental illness.
