Sports fraternity supports Imran Khan on 'Kashmir Hour'


Lahore, Sep 1 (IANS): Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), Sports Board Punjab (SBP) and other sports bodies participated in 'Kashmir Hour' on the appeal of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

To show their solidarity with Kashmir, PM Imran Khan had called an one hour assemblage 'Kashmir Hour' at noon on Friday. PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani, Chief Executive Wasim Khan, PCB officials, national team players and entire PCB staff showed their deep anguish over the treatment meted out to the innocent Kashmiri people by the Indian Army. Sports stars such as Shahid Afridi, Javed Miandad and Amir Khan too spoke up against the atrocities, the Nation reported.

Afridi was seen in the army uniform and while addressing the gathering he said that we are one nation when it comes to protecting rights of Kashmiris.
