The accused was identified as Nitin Gandhi, a resident of Rohini and he was arrested by the northwest district police on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday.

Four wireless phones and one mobile phone were recovered. Gandhi earlier used to run a call centre for a prominent private bank.

DCP (Northwest) Vijayanta Arya said a complaint regarding online fraud was reported at Model Town wherein the victim was informed by a person that a bonus of Rs 2,35,000 is awarded to him over his insurance policy by the insurance company and for which the victim had to pay a processing fee.
