MQM chief sings 'Sare jahan se achha Hindustan hamara'

London, Sep 1 (IANS): A video of Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain singing the Indian patriotic song "Sare Jahan se Achcha Hindustan Hamaraa" has gone viral on the internet.

The video shows Hussain, who has been living in self-exile in London, singing the poem written by Mohammed Iqbal in praise of the motherland.

Hussain's Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is influential in urban areas of Pakistan's southern province of Sindh, including its restive port city of Karachi.

The MQM claims to represent the Urdu-speaking migrants who moved to Pakistan with the partition of India in 1947.
