UAE: Globelink West Star Shipping Opens Second Logistics Facility

Jebel Ali, UAE, Jul 2: Globelink West Star Shipping, one of the region’s leading Freight Forwarding and Logistics service provider opened its 2nd logistics facility in Jebel Ali South Zone. The new facility was inaugurated by Mr. Tan Choon Wei, Executive Chairman of CWT Globelink Group, Singapore. 

The new facility is built on a land area of 250,000 sq feet and includes a dedicated logistics facility of 50,000 sq feet having, 6800 Pallet Positions besides a CFS cum Warehouse Space of 96,000 sq.feet. and covered outside storage area  of 12,000 sq.feet.








“The new facility has been built in to serve the ever increasing demand of our existing and new customers “ said Martin j Aranha, Managing Director of Globelink West Star.

“This year also assumes big significance in the achievement of Globelink West Star as we complete our 20 year of existence in the UAE” he added. 

From a humble beginning in Dubai with 3 staff way back in 1989, Globelink West Star has grown to become a leader in the freight forwarding industry and now employs over 540 staff in UAE alone and has offices in the Emirates of Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. The company has to its credit various Awards and Accolades that it won from Shipping lines and Airlines. 

The Group, CWT Globelink which is headquartered in Singapore has presence in 14 countries with over 60 offices worldwide.

Globelink West Star Shipping is also due to open its office in Kuwait in the month of July 2009.
