Car reverses into crowd of people, driver absconding

New Delhi, Sep 3: A video of negligent driving is being widely shared on social media. A CCTV footage shows a black sedan ramming into a crowd of pedestrians. The incident took place on a busy road of Old Gupta Colony around 9.30 pm. The incident left one person injured.

As per sources, the driver of the car had arguments with locals about his speeding. To avoid them, the driver looks like he's fleeing the scene, only to drive further and reverse at a speed where he hits a couple of people. The crowd shocked by this is seen running for their lives, the driver then flees away.

The police officials have booked the absconding driver on charges of rash and negligent driving. The victim of the attack, Kamal Arora suffered a leg fracture.
Further, he stated two people were present inside the car.

The DCP (Northwest), Vijayanta Arya claimed that the pursuit of the accused driver is underway. A case under IPC sections, 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way) and 337 (causing hurt by act, endangering life or personal safety of others) were registered against the absconding driver.
