Love my father, but my home is Pakistan: Adnan Sami's son


Lahore, Sep 3 (IANS) Indian citizen and singer Adnan Sami's son Azaan Sami has said that he loves his father but he would like to live and work in Pakistan.

According to reports in the Pakistani media, in an interview to the BBC Asian Network, Azaan Sami said: "My father has chosen a country to live, it is his decision, I respect that. As far as I am concerned, what I choose to call home, now is my choice, and I chose to work in Pakistan." 

Azaan is the son of Adnan and his former wife and Pakistani actor Zeba Bakhtiar.

Adnan Sami is often in the eye of controversy for his tweets and public comments about Pakistan. 

Talking about his father, Azaan said: "My father is more like a mentor, somebody with whom I seek advice from about my work. We have had a very tested relationship. I lived with my mom."

Azaan said he has many Indian friends as he spent a lot of time in India. "But, Pakistan is my home, I consider Pakistan's entertainment industry as my family," he added. 

Talking about his mother, he said she was very disciplined and a true "patriotic woman. After God whatever I am is because of her."
