Kuwait: Don Bosco Oratory organizes Ladies Throwball Tournament

Kuwait, Jul 4: Don Bosco Oratory (DBO) organized the first ever ladies throwball tournament onJune 25 and 26 in the premises of IEAS (Don Bosco).

There was good response to the tournament from teams spread out in various places of Kuwait. A total of 12 teams took part in the tournament. The teams were split into four groups, which then played as per the round robin format. Top teams from each group qualified for the semi-final.

The venue of the event was filled with family members and friends of the participants, who cheered and yelled at their favourite teams, to support and encourage them. All the teams played skillfully and the interest among the budding talents towards the game was evident. Sportsmanship was in display in plenty at the tournament.

The organizers said that they are thankful to all the participants for their contribution towards the success of the tournament. They have congratulated the winners as well as those who secured the third and fourth places. They have extended special thanks to DBO members Alfina, Anish, Nellira, Suzan and Joanne for their wholehearted cooperation.

They have informed that they would be holding an annual 'All Ladies Throwball Lelague'.

Result: Winners  - Kuwait Konkan, runners- up -  'Starz', third place -  'Al Rathat, fourth place - Spikerzz.
